I see Careless Whisper made it on there, prefer the Seether version.
Rumour has it the lyrics are based on a true story, apparently Georgie lad was found with a chocolate ball in his ass, they came to the conclusion that he was careless with a Whisper.

*snort*  ;D

Some very nice tracks there...a couple I would have used alternative tracks (Don't hit me Nigel!), but knowing the bloke behind these collections, am certain there'll be plenty of more good tracks come the next volumes.

Man, I just saw Howard Jones there with New Song...Dayimmm! I'd forgotten about him. Had so many artists on cassette in my day, so many forgotten until I see music lists like this.

What about Tasmin Archer - Sleeping Satellites. Was she 80s?

Not 80s but a great track, first CD I played in my brand new blue GTi 3 in 1993. Dammit what good memories.

When and where will this compilation be available?

Answer the man!  :D

Seriously, such a compilation would be great. However, spare us from yet another Glam or Soft Rock compilation.

Well I got my hands on Awesome 80's Vol 5  (my first one).

And I must say the sound is awesome, 5.1 somehow and it's great for turning up the volume. I know because quite a few of the tracks I have on other compilations, but these are definitely better than the rest.

So now I don't mind the duplicates, and I'll be seeing about acquiring the rest.

I see only a few of the tracks requested in this thread made it, but it must be hard to satisfy a spread of people.
What would be great is a "roll & burn your own" online service where you select which tracks you want and it compiles a cool DVD for you, with liner notes and all!

I hope an "alternative 80's" is still on the way!

Regards
Leon
