Rega tonearm

As per heading, doesnt really matter which one. RB 250, 300, even a 200 would do.

Come on guys, I know someone must have something hidden away in a drawer collecting dust.  :giggle:

I have an SME 3009 S2 improved, mint condition which I can offer as trade for an arm of similar value. Doesn't necessarily have to be a Rega arm.

I'm curious .... is the RB 250 an upgrade on the SME 3009 ? My original Rega Planar 3 TT came with the SME and I later had it changed to the RB 250. I knew buggerall about HiFi but just liked the look of the RB better  :) Today I find the SME quite appealing.

I've also had both and prefer the  S2 unimproved.

Maybe I should have been a little clearer. I am looking to buy a Rega arm, alternatively I can swap my SME for another(straight tube) arm of similar value. Definitely not going to swap the SME for a RB250  :giggle:

I have an Ultracraft which i'm thinking of selling. No counterweight (I made a makeshift one and haven't got around to finding someone with a lathe to make a nice one).
Always up for coffee and investments - insurance - retirement.

If you do decide on selling please let me know.  :2thumbs:

If it's to go on a Rega it may not be ideal. I had it on a Planar 2 and I had to extend the legs so the bottom of the arm would clear (they used a very deep nut for some odd reason).

Nope it would either go on a AR or SP10. I don't like Rega turntables, but their arms I like.

I've been drooling about that arm since the ad went up, sadly it's a bit out of my range.
