It does have a VGA connector (the one with the 3 rows of holes).

So maybe a component to VGA adaptor will solve your issues

Hi guys
Just an update here. A friend of mine who is a high level techie dropped by to say hi today and I asked him to look at my set up. He took the Mede8er and ran the HDMI cable to the HDMI IN slot on the receiver and then ran a single video cable from the Mede8er to the GAME VIDEO slot on the receiver. We adjusted the audio on the Mede8er to HDMI and voila! We got both sound through my HT system and video on the non HD screen!

So you're using the composite connection.

Just the video cable on the composite side of the Mede8er and that cable runs into the video input on the receiver under the GAME section.
