Miniature filament lamp - I can't source
« on: September 02, 2010, 08:20:58 pm »
Hi All
I need 20 or so miniature filament lamps, base type BA7s, 36V, 20ma, 0.7W
(thats a 6.8mm dia. 25mm long bayonette)
None of the component suppliers I phoned in JHB has them at that voltage/current.

Does anybody know a likely/certain source IN SOUTH AFRICA?

(this photo is NOT a 0.7W filament, but just to show the base)

I don't want to modify the driver circuit for another voltage or current, and LEDS are not going to look right.

Thanks.

Thanks, but no 36V 20mA there. Everybody's only got high current ones.

It's a long shot, but try Eagle Electric in Cape Town (Hout Street). They've turned up some weird and wonderful stuff in their time.
