It does help sift out some.

I have resorted to saving their cell numbers on my phone.  Immediately when they sms, they come thru as Con Man 1, Con Man Alex Matthews, etc.  That's another filter.  The old 'I'll do an EFT, and e-mail you the proof" is so old, but it still catches people who are new to internet trading.

Just never give anything until you've confirmed with your bank (I also try to move the deposit to another account to make sure that it's not a cheque that will 'evaporate' in 2 weeks).  Main problems are with gumtree, junkmail and similar sites.  Haven't had any problems with avsa & avforum

3-4 Con artists contact me a week.  If I'm in a good mood, I let them know that I'll deliver at around 9:30pm in the evening, then just let them wait.  I know it's wrong, but they should keep track of who they're trying to con and not try to con the same person twice!

Pretty sad when it gets to that stage... You sell quite a bit... You would think that they would have cottoned onto your number by now... If a conman did get hold of those speakers ( Pentagram P-10) I am not sure where they would shift them... First time I have ever heard of them or seen some for sale.

The con artists were really unprofessional.  All cut from the same cloth, and so easy to spot.

The Pentagrams were really good.  Those subs below them really thundered.  When listening to Josh Groban, I was amazed at the depth of bass that they unearthed on some of the tracks.  I think I put a mini review with the ad.  Unfortunately they're sold.

Also let them collect and sound all excited - give them the adress of an empty plot where no house exists.  And arrange for some ridiculous time of the day to collect like 22:00.  .... and the further the better.

Definitely 100% for original looks... Like nothing else I have seen out there. I hope the new owner enjoys them.

When you want to move them, I'd like first dibs on them please! I wanted them desperately but didn't have the free cash!
My ears are fine, I tell you!

Guys, re the Pentagrams.  If you wanted them, I would've been happy to let you have them by paying a deposit, and the balance in 2-3 parts.  You can take the items when you pay the deposit.  The same goes for the Jamos that I have up for sale.  I don't mind waiting until the full amount has been settled.  This makes it easier for everyone to afford good equipment.  Not everyone has oodles of cash laying around, but most of us can afford paying off fairly expensive items in 3-4 parts (plus there's no interest or insurance fees ;D).

With the items I currently have up for sale, the Yamaha RX-V665 and the Jamos, I'd be happy for someone to take them and pay it off.  Obviously I don't wanna get abused here.
