Download the software - unzip it onto you desktop or where it suits you -  it will make a folder called "diylc_beta" (if you downloaded version 2) open the folder and double click "DIYLC.jar" . If it fails to run you need to install the enabling software which is the latest "Java runtime" which you can download from: http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp. Once Jave is installed double clicking "DIYLC.jar" again.

i do have the latest java installed. when i double click the jar file a DOS box opens very briefly and then disappears, too quickly to read anything in it.....what gives?

Will have to wait for the real fundis to chime in... it just works on my XP machine.
