Lenco L75 Refurb Project

Few pics of my Lenco L75 refurb project......
Apart from the usual checking of motor suspension, motor noise, general cleaning and polishing, the following photograghable items were attended to......

Resprayed plinth.....



New 16mm Supawood base board to replace the flimsy hardboard, and new rubber feet........



Cleaned and lubed centre bearing and underplatter.........



Replaced crumbled V-blocks and stabilised rear counterweight arm tube........





New audio leads and RCA's, and new mains cord and plug.......



Cleaned and polished arm...........



Original Excel ES-70s cartridge and almost new stylus......



Cleaned platter, and mat, polished lid, and voila.................like new  :-)

Nice one.  :) Looks spiffing... How did you polish the dustcover? Was it always clear?

Thks, AR, the dustcover is a slightly smokey greyish colour, and was in pretty good condition. I have a random orbital buffer, and used "Meguiars Plastx Clear Plastic Cleaner and Polish" on the pad to restore the shine. The description on the bottle says it "removes fine scratches, cloudiness, and stubborn oxidation". Takes ages tho, and won't remove deep scratches. Doogle  :-)
