John Mayer - where the light is

Man if i was rude about John Mayer before - i eat my words - just got my hands on the dbl disc - live in los angeles- where the light is

Just fantastic - incredible guitarist

Compare music to drinks. Some is like a strong brandy. Some is like a fine wine. The music you're playing sounds like Diet Coke - Pavarotti

You should try the BluRay. The SQ on it is the best I have heard of all my CD's, DVD's and HD downloads. Absolutely stunning job they have done. Definately reference material

It is ridiculously good - i must say i dig the second portion of the first disc - the trio set

Just some awesome and well played tracks - the rhythm section is sublime

Steve Jordan on drums and Pino Palladino on bass - extremely tight and precise and really compliment John Mayer with that crazy tone from the Strat

I will definetly check out for the DVD

JM is definitely someone I have to take more seriously. He has some very good music. It has been said that he is to blues what Norah Jones is to Jazz - a very talented musician who can carry the torch for the next generation.

Got myself his Continuum album. I must say I am impressed. It is laced with vintage rock & blues! Good stuff!

John's earlier albums don't hold a candle to his last 3-4 efforts.  He's one of the few artists making real music today as opposed to the formulaic, vacuous crap that fills the airwaves.  Definitely one to watch.

His new album (Heartbreak Warfare) is definitely worth a listen too. Not as bluesy as Continuum, but has some good easy-listening tracks, well produced. A very good album.
It's not the size of the sub, it's where you place it.
