Yep. Need some cash for upgrading :-D
This is still an amazing receiver, and changed the way I think about yamaha :-D
They really seem to know a thing or 2 about sound quality :-p

howzit really intersted in this AVR but noticed its 6ohm stable.....will it work on my setup of Cervin vegin VE-8, VE-5M, VE-5C as they are 8ohms....
My AVR Setup is more Expensive, but my Stereo Setup sounds more Rich ;D

yes it will work with no ill effects but at slightly reduced power output amounts

The rated 110 watts, is for 6 ohms. I read somewhere you can get 90 watts from 8 ohm with 0.10% thd
I am running 8 ohms on it at the moment and it has more than enough power. It fills more than just the movie room :-P

If you are interested, I can give you a demo at some stage over the weekend perhaps?

Missed this post.

She does very well in stereo. Even though I consider it better stereo than other 5.1 AVR's, it will still not be able to compete with other dedicated stereo setups.

The fact that you can run separate speakers, only gives it an advantage over similar 5.1 devices that simply use your 2 main fronts in your 5.1 setup to play the stereo on.
