As I said.
Picture quality across all channels is much improved.
As for the lip syncing problems, I am using one cable in to the TV. not running it through my HT amp. and I have absolutely no lip syncing issues.

interesting - so you prefer to have the audio running from your TV speakers - i suppose that couldnt harm but to be honest i would rather have the audio being output from my Home theater set because after all thats what i purchased the HT set for ie to play all the surround sound - and on the HD channels when you play a movie for example the sound is similar enough to dolby digital from DVD playback - so if i stick to using HDMI to the receiver and then use another HDMI to transfer the video to the TV but output the audio from my HT speakers then i do get the lipsync issue

it helps a lot to use the coax or optical connections for the audio transfer because this reduces the problem ..... note well .... i said "reduces the problem" and not "solves it" - and a reboot of the decoder every now and then helps as well

My lipsync issues seem to have gone now. YAY.
