Need phantom power supply
« on: July 29, 2010, 02:17:43 pm »
Hi guys,

So I finally got my Behringer DSP-1124P parametric equaliser/processor which I am going to use to equalise the bass response from my sub.  The sub is a transmission line using an Adire Audio 15" Tempest DVC driver.

I also bought a Behringer ECM-8000 measurement mic (its flat from 15Hz up) which I will use to make the in-room measurements.  Trouble is, it needs a phantom power supply (the mic can accept 15 to 48V).

Where can I get one, or does anyone have a circuit diagram to make one?

Behringer do supply a PS400 unit for this purpose - where can I buy one locally?

Thanks, Ryan

You could also do a reasonable impersonation of P48 phantom power with some 9V batteries, some resistors and some caps, but what will you be using to amplify the microphone signal?

OK I finally got around to buying the components etc.  I started soldering last night.
