We debated some time ago about whether hip-hop should be taken as a serious musical art form. Many felt that because the computer plays such a big part of the creation of the music, it negates the artistry.

I think this promo video for Brother Ali's latest album demonstrates how both the traditional ways of making music and the computer come togther:

While that's probably my favourite track off of the album, I didn't enjoy the album itself that much, although I do like a lot of Saul Williams' stuff.

Not a big spoken word fan in general, but I do enjoy Sage Francis' B Dolan output:
