The drive circuit has a profound effect on the sonics.
Having an Alesis Masterlink HD recorder at my disposal has been fun.
I made some recordings of the same track using different powersupplies. All mounted externally to my Funk LP12/Clarity/Charm/FXR/Sumiko BP2
PSUs recorded are Valhalla, hercules, (Arma)Geddon Clone 200VA, Airpower DIY 200VA and the Rega P2/3 circuit and a hybrid of Geddon/Rega.
