WANTED: Panasonic TH-P42V20P
« on: July 01, 2010, 10:10:51 am »
Hi there, longtime reader, first time poster.

I'm from Durbs and looking for a Panasonic Plasma TH-P42V20P. Does anyone know of any specialist or retail stores that may have stock? I have tried Durban and came up with nothing. Cape Town Audio Vision outlets had stock and are awaiting stock.

Anybody have any leads, im not going 2nd hand and my budget is R15K.

Thanks

Try Mod n Sound in Umhlanga. Speak to Andre or Derek 031 5665510. They only deal with Panasonic TVs.

My wife used to work for Panasonic, and these guys in Pretoria might be able to help out:

http://www.newworldmenlyn.co.za/

They are the sole importers for Panasonic as far as I know.
I just don't know if they will ship and at what cost.

Thanks Jaco, I'll try them. Are they reasonable?

They have prices on their website.
I think they are reasonable, taking into account what I paid for my stock standard 42" Plasma 5 years ago.
The 50" HD stuff is cheaper now...  :-\

Ok,

Now this is a Panasonic TH-P42V20P which according to the Panafrique website has the "infinite black" panel.

New World Menlyn's Website show's them as stocking TH-P42V20M with the "deep black" description. But clearly Macross got his from New World Menlyn. Hmmmmm....

Sorry i was at a staff briefing.

Ya I got mine from New World in Menlyn Park. I phoned in for the V20P as it wasn't on their website catalogue.

Does yours specify Infinite Black or Deep Black?
