Ha Shaun! You saw past my secret... yes, I have hooked them up without the speaker gaskets. They sound pretty good I guess. I wont be able to really judge them without the gaskets as the drivers bzzz (against the cabinet) at certain frequencies.

FINALLY! They are DONE!

I hope everybody enjoyed following the build as much as I enjoyed building them. A BIG "Thank You" to everybody that was involved and that was kind enough to lend a hand. That includes: Jacques van Zyl - Design and mathematical equations, Ian Wilmans - Cross-over components, Neels Holtzhauzen - Paint, Andre Coetzee - Workshop and Tools, Dad - Moral Support and each and every friend who forwarded words of support. Without you I would not have been able to pull this off!

Felt gaskets - laser cut. I glued them to the cabinets.

Looks awsome!!! Give it all some to settle and then tell us how it sounds... Are you going to add a sub to the setup?

Ahem, full erectile functionality here, make no mistake ;D

Great work and firstclass workmanship, I might add. I can imagine this was a long, hard slog with lots of handearbeid, setting the crossbar a little higher for all diy'ers here.

Happy listening.

Very nice, like the color.
Crazy placing, stereo imaging must be quite awkward  :o

Thank you! Yup... they need to "run in" I guess. Sub? Probably hard to believe but they have pretty amazing low-end reach. A sub is not needed but only to fill in the absolute lowest octave (35 Hz - 9 Hz).

Yes sir! Thank you Andrè! Its been a build. I started in the 26th of June and only finished on the 2nd of August. 38 days later... just over a month. I wanted to do it good and that is just what I ended up doing.  I have a simple philosophy: when you do something, do it as best you can!

Very nice, like the color.

Glad you like it! Guess the color is not everybody's cuppa tea but like they say: "if the room allows it" (which mine dont really but what the hell!)
