Is the HDMI cable going to the TV plugged into Main Out on the AVR and is the "Monitor Out" setting set to HDMI?

I see my 876 has an 'HDMI out' button under the flip cover to change the monitor out.

When you press the setup button on the remote do you get any on screen menus or nothing at all?

Give us a bit more info on the equipment you are using in the chain, ie. BD player to AVR via HDMI and out again to the screen via HDMI

Im using ps3 60gig and tried my lg dvd recorder and also swopped the hdmi cables around,I could try hooking up a splitter for the hd signal and send one to avr for sound and the other directly to tv,but I want to try to sort out the problem first

The fact that you are getting sound to the amp shows the signal works.  I would check the settings on the PS3 for video out and next the settings on the amp.  Although you say the settings are correct, I would double check.  In my opinion it must be that.  You can also swop the two HDMI cables and make sure the sound still gets to the amp, which will eliminate the possibility of a faulty cable

The next step is to actually change the screen to the correct input :D

Try isolate the problem:

1. Connect the PS3 directly to your TV and see what happens. If still nothing then suspect it's your PS3 settings, try and connect via composite or any other options the PS3 has to get to the menu and change your output to HDMI.

2. If you do get a signal when connected straight to the TV then your amp has issues. It's most likely a input/output setting issue. Alot of amp's now-a-days let you pair a audio input with a completely seperate video input and it might have been changed previously.

3. Also, try various different HDMI inputs/outputs on the screen and/or amp as one of the plugs might be faulty.

4. Have you tried with a different cable?
