Where can I buy something like this?

I'm really looking for this type mounting, though:

Bulgin make some in their Buccaneer range. Communica might help you, or Avnet/Kopp. Not so pretty though. Black plastic.

Neutrik makes one like the Switchcraft in the pic, but not available at RS. They do have a mil looking one from Amphenol for a measly R500+ Yikes!

Communica have a couple of common PCB mounting types up here. They may even have that same Switchcraft. Sit down when you ask the price of any Switchcraft connector though...

Why not go with the normal PCB mount metal box type thingie?

You must be up to something very interesting there...

Good info from ludo. good neat cheap ones are non existant. went on this hunt once when I was in boardroom automation. Just cut up a cable with a female end and gland it in to the panel....

It is for my Meridian speaker project. Specifically, it is for the connection between the computer and the DCN23 DSP crossover made by GroundSound. I want it to look professional, that's why I'm resisting going the Maak 'n Plan route that Ludo has suggested. I will try Communica and Avnet, though.
