Garrard 4HF(F) vintage turntable

Having seen Mafioso's restoration of a similar turntable, I thought I should rescue this one from the flea market. It needs some attention, as the head shell has been damaged, and there is no stylus. Just refund the fifty bucks it cost me, and it's yours. Cape Town.

Good for you to preserve history

That's a Garrard TPA12 arm on there. I have the arm which I use for 78rpm shellacs but have never had such a turntable. Some peeps will kill for that arm as it looks too cool. If the 4HF(F) is cleaned up and serviced, it will play Nat King Cole and Vera Lynn like you've never heard them before.

I've got one of these too, in my collection somewhere. Methinks I also have a spare tonearm for it too... not too sure about that, though. The 4HF is a good-looking, if mediocre, turntable. 4-speed, so useful for playing those new-fangled 16 2/3 RPM super-duper longplay records that came out but were never really a hit.

Now, the 4HF makes use of the exact same idler wheel as the 301 and 401, so that alone makes it an excellent purchase!
