Guys,

If I can make a suggestion: It'll be great if you all started your own build threads, as each build will be unique and there will be interesting tips from each of them. Rather keep those in the respective threads than get them drowned out in this thread. It's up to you though...

Ruan, I'm really liking how that baffle turned out. I'm still weeks away from that though  ::)

That bubinga veneer looks really nice! It was also on my list, but I'm settling for american walnut, as there will also be black in my speakers and I don't want too strong a contrast.

1/4mm is good, otherwise you have to use screwdrivers to remove the drivers
OK! I've had it! I don't give anymore Kharma. Kharma should work in mysterious ways...

To any 2-way ZRT builders who participated in this group buy and who are still in need of ports, I have a single pair of 2" flared port kits up for grabs from Madisound.
Asking price is R313.55 for the pair of kits excluding postage costs.
Typical postage will be around R66 for ordinary parcel postage and up to R140 for express counter-to-counter (PostNet).

Please reply to this thread (so others are aware of the purchase offer) followed by a PM with your details.
This offer is strictly for 2-way ZRT builders who participated in this group buy.

Where are all the builders  :o

Out of a total of 8, i have only seen 2 active builds. Lets get some inspiration going here. I will give a pair of Hi Vi M8A to the first person that can prove to me that theirs is finished and working properly :)

lol
I've finalised most of the design for my ZRT version and now simply have to build it. Materials are a bit of a challenge for me but I've got a couple of options lined up just waiting for cutting lists (I have very limited working space and allowable "noise time" in our security complex).
Here's a teaser of what I plan to attempt...dedicated build thread to follow with details soon.

Not at all! :) The exploded view looks more complicated than it is; I'm simply going the laminated 6mm MDF route for the sides, wrapping the whole lot up in Walnut veneer (that still depends on how much the veneer will set me back...). The design intentionally includes a mass loading chamber above the cross-over chamber, the latter located in the base of the enclosure.
