No luck dude, I'm in Cape Town. :)

And I have to say that new LP's are more than a little rare here too.

I've got a friend with some serious vinyl kit, and he said to me, "What ever you do, don't get into vinyl, you'll take years off your life!!"

Lol, I think he might be right, it would be so easy if we could all just pop into Musica etc for our fix of LPness

 ;D

I have the 2m blue and it is a huge improvement over the old shure I had running. The only problem is that it is less forgiving of poor condition rerecords..

After some initial hassles, I’d identified that I’m NOT going to waste money on 2nd hand LP’s.  Most that look to be in good condition, still have dramatic noise in the groove.  Even after a good and careful wash.

Got loads of 2nd hand vinyl no hassles, at +- R30 a pop there 's not much to loose. Just give them a decent wash

picked up 5 discs at Mabu Vinyl in Kloof street yesterday (1/2 price sale, paid less than R200 :o), haven't even washed them yet, just a wipe with the anti static brush. so far they're all sounding sweet & clear.

Kloof street as in Cape Town?
