Hey guys,

I've recently moved to a new place, and there is a lot more windows in my lounge, the floor is tiled, generally a lot more hard reflective surfaces. Not very acoustically friendly. My towers are also not ideally placed at the moment, my LF speaker is getting considerable corner loading. To alleviate the situation a bit, i've decided on some acoustic treatment. Me being me, i'd rather spend the little money I have on electronics, so i've decided to go the DIY route.

Now, I've read up on this a bit, and it seems that the general way to go is to make a frame (timber) and fill it with a rigid fibreglass product. Then cover frame in suitable material and hang on wall. The main question I have then, is what to fill the frame with? In the States they use a product called Owens Corning 703. Do we have an equivalent over here? Are there other things I need to know?
