Afri-Frans - Afrikaans music for the European market!

I picked up a copy of AFRI-FRANS whilst visiting relatives. I never heard or read anything about the album but as I scanned through the liner notes I decided to buy it on the spot.
The album consists of popular Afrikaans songs translated to French. The biggest part of the album was produced in Switzerland and the quality is of highest standard.
I am not quite a fan of Afrikaans music but this album puts a twist on things. One gets a new perspective of old tunes. If you do not know any of the Afrikaans melodies you will still enjoy the album.

I bought this CD this morning and I have to agree with Dewald, it is wonderful!
Maud Myra has a voice that reminds me of dark chocolate sauce dripping over ice cream
And as he mentioned the quality is topnotch.

"Chanson Du Vent" is my favorite. Nice tangible bass from a double bass played very sensually.
