hi there,
i got an old scope which i fear i have buggered up...i was viewing the mains when i inadvertently shorted the mains, that is blew the house circuit breaker. Since then my scope seems to have a timebase distortion - for want of a better term. my square waves are square but tilted on the edges and my straight line (no signal) is now curved. the curvature varies with the position of the trace, it gets worse as it is lowered please see attached photos. can anyone tell em if this easily repairable perhaps a degauss? or a twiddle of a pot somewhere? or is it curtains for this thing? if anyone can advise I would be most happy. Also if it is repairable could someone tell me where in JHB i could go to have it diddled? thanks in advance...
