Was browsing at Phase 2 and they were playing this, ended up buying the CD. Cape Town band headed up by a lead guitarist Federico Fernandez.
Very good IMO!!!!
Sophisticated blend of blues/rock/jazz/latin with a strong hint of Santana/Lenny Kravitz. The lead singer really can sing!
Quite well recorded as well.
Certainly a step up from the "normal SA Band" in terms of sophistication and quality I think. By that I dont mean other SA bands are necessarily low quality but generally I find some of the local bands a little one dimensional, ie they have a certain sound and everything is defined in terms of that, even though it may be great music, but ultimately a bit limiting.
I dont feel that these guys are the same, more "international" type of sound.
