My buffer overfloweth
« on: October 02, 2009, 04:28:13 am »
Had pics and everything ready. Looong story to go with it.

And then it said the upload folder is full. Contact an administrator.

Now maybe it balked at my simulation even before Ampdog had a chance. But I'd like to hear what he says anyway. Like Mafioso asked, could someone go flush that thing? :)

It is sad sometimes coming across an old thread that contains information and related pictures and links, only to find that the pictures have disappeared and the links are dead. I try as far as possible to use my own web space when posting pics, and never to delete them. I don't trust the likes of photobucket.

Never had any issues with photobucket? I've added another 100MB to the image store btw, it should last us a while :)

I've come across quite a few photobucket dead links. The problem is that one is reliant on a service owned and controlled by another person/entity.

I haven't used photobucket in such a long time that I can't remember the logon details. Now I can't use that account to edit or upload new pictures. I'm seriously going to get myself a webpage up to put all my crap.
How did you go about it, Shaun?

I got my own domain name registered, and the guy who did it for me arranged email and 10gig of web space. It costs me R51.00 every 3 months. I just use Total Commander's FTP utility to upload whatever content/docs I need there, then post a link to the folder, file as required. I don't know if he still offers the service to new clients, as his business has been absorbed by another company, though he still provides good backup service.

Edit: domain name registration and renewal is extra

Yep, I have a similar setup re. domain but don't use it for filesharing, however, it's a brilliant idea and I believe I wills tart to do so going forward! Thanks!

...... to balk at it? Now why would I do that to a nice gentleman like you?

But have you since got it right somewhere on the forum?

It was for the discussion of chokes/CCS at http://www.avforums.co.za/index.php/topic,3503.msg44638.html#msg44638 You see, I'm rather superstitious, and convinced I'm wrong, as a rule. Especially when trying to make a model of a magnetic device. Somewhat far out of my league there. Then when the uploading won't work either...

Of course, this hasn't helped in any way to make me less opinionated. :D

But there hasn't been any criticism of the sim results, so I guess I wasn't too far off.

In case Kay hasn't seen the gratitude for the extra space expressed in the post there: Thanks Meneer! I try to use it sparingly.

Sorry, that was the time I was occupied otherwise for a few days and then forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me; I will continue there.
