Spammers on board

Due to the recent wave of spammer registrations, I have enabled member activation until I implement an automated spam filter. Please bear with me until this is done - I am looking at a number of solutions. Registrations will be reopened as soon as we can adequately protect the members from this scum without policing each and every registration first.
