Definitely MY audio high-point of the year!
Philip (from Vivid Audio) knows my reservations with the "old" range...
The Giyas (G1) OTOH are a different breed of animal! And JA, they look AWESOME in real life!
The most disturbing thing about them, is their lack of "Hi Fi-iness". Big, SMOOOOTH soundstage - initially I thought, "ummm, not very exciting..." - which is what puts them in a class of their own! We've become conditioned to hearing (and accepting) typical "high-end" audio that's very impressive, but lacks communication. These things seem to effortlessly just get on with the job of sharing the music - involving you, seducing you... Just what our pursuit is all about?
