Late 2012 a friend asked me to design him a new (stereo) set of speakers. I would do the design and X-over, he would do the rest of the build.
The following criteria were decided on??.
- low cost , hi performance
- small / medium floorstander, high WAF
- 3 way, covering most of the frequency spectrum

To contain cost and because of the exchange rate currently, it was agreed to favour parts in stock if a suitable combo could be found, which wasn?t too difficult?
My friend was partial to a truncated pyramid shape, after seeing and listening to one of my previous builds.
After some initial drawings we agreed on the basic design.
