In the meantime, someone in Cape Town sommer bought four Quads nogal - are you guys sleeping? I made a wee humble effort to get them homeside of the Vaal, but no go ( as he damnwell shouldn't).

I read of MG clubs, Mini clubs, DKW clubs, Lowther clubs ... perhaps someone should start a Quad club. Exibition: Gold plated valves, wiring of pure silver, rare earth sockets, units blessed by the Pope, the numerically following double set owned by the late Harry Oppenheimer (oh they do exist - had been split recently though).

Just an update after having e-mailed round the UK.

 :(

All say those buttons are not scarce - they are and has been unavailable for years (as spares). They are apparently the first to break, and the only way out is to put in a little elbow grease and innovation, and make.

So thus it shall be. In fact the 'old' buttons are not gone, they just all split apart. Thus time to put on the magnifying glass, splice and polish. With some luck split lines will not be that evident. (And, naturally, they all split on top, right in view.)

Thanks for all who replied.
