It seems that AVSA site is being revamped. I got into it early this morning  and it had a face lift but I could not get into the Demos etc for sale. The classifieds was OK and was also upgraded.

Hi, yes, it's in the process of getting a new look, but as things always go, there are always a few hiccups before it gets up and running properly. If you encounter any errors, please let me know soonest on avsa@iafrica.com.

Thanks,

Andrew

Nice fresh look!

While you're at it, may I suggest adding some enhancements to the Classifieds page?

(1) Add a Location field.
(2) Add facility for uploading a pic of the equipment.

I am ho-hum on the look of any site. Must be functional though so below a couple of points / suggestions.

Red Headings in Classifieds look wierd. They are not all left aligned and text is cut off. (Both Firefox and

Also, a facility to mark an item as being sold. (Would still like to see the history though). Subscribe to let us know when new things have been posted? Structure the adds a little more so a person chooses what they are selling. Amps / speakers / AV Recievers & maybe also brands. A subscriber could then set specific criterea as to what they are looking for.

On the "Latest Issue" menu at the top, there is no way to tell which item you are on if you are not directly over the text. Change the colour of the selected item as the user moves the mouse over the area. - Rollover / Highlight colour

What about a subscription service to a monthly newsletter / Latest Issue apart from subscribing to the mag? People can be a bit lazy. I like to get things in my inbox reminding me of these things.

Why have the menu at the top & the bottom?

Caution, whatever you read above, may, wonder of wonders, contain some level of jocularity.

because

once they have scrolled to the bottom is nice not to have to scroll right back up to find the menu.

Hi Byrd, have checked for sale and on offer in classified and all headings are left-aligned and contain all text that I can see?

There is a search facility on the class ads page if you're looking for speakers or amps just search for it.

gbyleveldt what version of IE are you using? The headings have been fixed.

Ah - but that assumes people have used whatever term in the add.

Take a look at the "SONOR AUDIO PALLADIUM 1 FLOORSTANDERS" as one example of an add where the poster did not use the term. This why structured is a better approach.

On Firefox 3 and IE7 on my side it is giving this issue. Are you using the screen resolution to do anything?
