Mmm, seems I inadvertently broke the link. Nevermind, here it is again  ;D

Thanks for fixing!

When I started the project, I thought; " UMPH! Farrari F1 chassis powered by OLD Uno engine, Phoephhh..." Until the day the stylus tip settled into the first vinyl groove... BLIKSEM!!! NOW I understand why Lenco has such a strong following!
Let's just say it K@Ks on the Linn and the Avid... But then I'm probably a bit biased...:) ;D
Still would have preferred to mill a "propper" (new) top "pan/plate" for the thing...

I got sucked into doing a conversion because of the sexy machines shown on the LL site, how good it was supposed to be and because I had a GL75.

Does it sound good?  Well it looks good, I had fun making it and I am convinced that the sound from vinyl is far superior to CD.

But I have a good arm and a good cartridge and a good system [I think].  There is no apparent noise from the turntable but all things being equal could I tell the difference between the turntable part and another one equiped the same- I seriously doubt it.

There was someone on the LL site that built a fantastic turntable, at great effort and then scrapped it because he said it was sonically dead [if I remember correctly].  I wish he had given it to me!
