Thanks for the compliments guys. It was regarded as our 'miracle' issue. As in, it was a miracle it ever got published!  ;D  (We had some behind-the-scenes chaos, increased demand for prozac, but nothing awfully serious...)

Still waiting for mine in the mail, I had to resist the temptation to get it at the airport. That cover does look lush...

I subscribed midway through July for AVSA, now I am not sure whether I will receive the August edition as part of the subscription, if I haven't received it in the mail by now, is it safe to assume I will only start getting it from September? I have sent a query to the person who handled my subscription but I did not receive a reply.

Hi gifs,

I talk under correction, but I think that we usually state there is about a six week wait between taking the subscription out, and the first issue coming out, so yes, September may well be the first issue you will get. Did you subscribe beginning or end of July?

I sent in my details via the link on the avsa site end of june, then got an email beginning July asking for my details and payment etc. The last response was on 15 July asking for my postal address again.

Yes, then your first issue is likely to be the September one, gifs.

When I got home my August copy was waiting in my postbox, luckily I didn't buy it too!

And I won one of the CDs in the Little Voice Competition ;D

Just a pity I already have it. I will have to give it to someone else.

Enjoyed the comparative review and I hope we will be able to move more in that direction here in SA.
The cover was quite cheerful as well. Bright colours.
