how lucky you are, glad the pm1's come with the metal grill bit over the delicate little tweeter.

Was probably the little one.

It is quite a strong tweeter and won't easily suck out I think.

R300. Take the speaker to them and ask them to replace the diaphragm for you, it's a little fiddly on the 68x series.
Resistance is not futile; it is voltage divided by current (R=V/I)

Also found out that the tweeter diaphragm was damaged on my CM9 on Thursday, but doesn't look as bad as your speaker.. Still trying to figure what happened and who dunnit!! I see the CM series tweeters look to be constructed similarly to the 68X series, so guess I will also have to make the (expensive) trip to HFX Systems to get it replaced. The older 600 series was pretty easy to replace and not too bad @ R200 a diaphragm.. Situations like this that made we wish that B&W would do something about protecting those tweeters better like Monitor Audio does on their Silver speakers..

Monitor Audio does on their Silver speakers..

I wanted to mention that cute little magnetic grill earlier, but thought Pearljam wouldn't appreciate me being a wise-ass. It does sound like B&W should make a plan. The least they could do, is change the design a little, because if you look at that tweeter, you could just imagine that to a kid it would look like a lovely shiny magic button, YAAAY!

Yes, its about R300+. Its easy to replace yourself as you will be replacing the whole tweeter driver. Depending on the age of the the speakers and how sensitive your ears are, and budget of cause, its sometimes recommended replace both speakers' drivers.
