FS: Various High End Goodies!
« on: February 03, 2012, 10:17:37 am »
Hi Guys,

I’m new to the forum…literally only have 10 posts, but I’ve got a few ‘high end’ goodies I would like to get a feeler for.

Everything in the list is in pretty good condition. I haven’t taken pics of anything yet as it’s literally sitting stacked up in the corner my study. If anyone would like a photo of something specific, please let me know and I’ll upload a pic of that item accordingly.

Most of these items are probably considered ‘vintage’ or ‘collectable’…or perhaps that’s just me being presumptuous :P …I actually don’t know enough about this sort of high end equipment to really judge…but I do know most of it was top of the line when they came out.

I’m based in Northcliff, Johannesburg and purely due to the size/weight of most of these items it would have to be pick up only.

All these items were inherited so some of them are without remotes etc and I’ll try post links to as many as I can…so here goes:

Surely his "make me an offer" equates to the rule's wording of  "best offer"???

I understand it's in addition to... but if he has no idea he could be ripping himself off.   :-\

Unfortunately this is my problem  :-\

All this equipment belonged to my dad, he used to be the Managing Director for Pioneer South Africa and was a bit of an AV enthusiast, so i KNOW a lot of this equipment is/was very high end and expensive and ive sat with it for almost 6 months now and done nothing with it. I havent had the time to research what market value is today for most of it: I have, as an example, seen an old ebay ad (in the US) where someone managed to still get over $700 for his A91D but thats about it...

Funnily enough, the amp and matching cd player are the ONLY items ive bothered to hook up and use and they are brilliant. The amp is EXTREMELY powerful (well, compared to my little VSX-920)

I assume its the same Bullet_GP from carbonite (old prophecy) :P

I'd love the amp and stable platter player, but I's in CPT... If you'd reconsider shipping, please put me first in line.

Yep, that's me ;)

Looks like your goodies should move fast. I think your pricing was pretty accurate but don't go undersell yourself now

If you get buyers down in CT or so, why don't you use SilvRav's courier connections? It shouldn't cost too much

I am guessing that stereo amp weighs a ton...LOL

Hi Frikkie, gimmie a little while to check out the couriers Bullet is referring to and ill see if its worth the cost. you wouldnt be interested in the Amp and the matching Cd player rather (over the stable?) The only thing im worried about with shipping is honestly the weight. the amp is RIDICULOUSLY heavy, as is the matching CD Player but lets see what they actaully weigh and what it may actually cost first :)
