I remember Marc Almond had a bad bike accident some years ago. He was touch and go at one stage so it's good to see he's alive and well.

That lineup would probably have been bigger, but the other guys couldn't get leave from their burger flipping jobs at McDonald's ;D

Wasn't the Village People's lead singer a down-and-out druggie? Are we getting the dregs?

I see Abe is going to be there (ABC)?
Caution, whatever you read above, may, wonder of wonders, contain some level of jocularity.

I liked most of these artists/groups at the time, still say that '80s was the best for music ... but I must admit, over the past three or so months, I honestly get the impression that we've become the dumping ground for acts no-one else in the world wants to see...?  :(

he had around 13 to 14 club hits - i had all the maxi versions on vinyl at that time - i have all of those in MP3 form now - i actually like Rick and most stuff that was Stock, Aitken and Waterman produced

i would not mind seeing Rick and Imagination or Howard Jones and Go West - the others are more or less of the type that "wont make too much difference in my life if i dont see them OR even if i do"

I actually went to the Kool & the gang concert - they were one of my favourite bands from the 80's

I agree about us getting all the has beens. Personally, I could put on a better 80's party with my own collection hah hah.
Its high time we got a decent act on our shores and please don't make me vomit by telling me that Michael Buble' is such an act.

I think Micheal Buble' has got some excellent music. Sure most of it is only good enough for background music while you do something else but for me its still good.
I suppose you don't like Frank Sinatra either but did you know that he was so successful that he could fly to Paris for breakfast whenever he wanted. Granted Frank liked power and there are a lot of skinner stories of him but what these guys spent on breakfast you probably wish you could have to buy gear with.
