soccer was invented because not all gay men can dance, and not all straight men can play rugby.

*jus' saying*

Hehehe ;D

True, but being a proud South-African I can pretty much say that our rugby scene is leagues ahead of our local soccer scene, which still seems to be pondering around in the dark ages, like a lost fart in the snow...

I'm beginning to like the number of Toffee's we have here ;D

to epitomise the rivalry between Manyoo and the gunners in the past heres an interesting story about Roy Keane and Patrick Viera that happened recently

"Old habits clearly die hard for former deadly rivals Roy Keane and Patrick Viera

The pair attended a charity auction for St Bede’s School in Cheshire on Saturday night, where Keano slapped in a bid of £500 on a meal for 10 at Manchester’s popular Yang Sing eaterie.

With the auctioneer about to bang his gavel, Vieira responded with an offer of £510, and the former Arsenal and Manchester United captains then traded bids up to £800, neither of them deigning to look at the other during the process.

As Mrs Keane jokingly appealed to her husband to “leave it”, the pair then raised the bidding in £50 increments before Vieira slapped in a final offer of £1,000. To which Keane, naturally, offered £2,0000.

Amount Roy was prepared to pay per head to get one over on his old rival? £200. Cost of a decent meal at the Yang Sing? About £35."

okay - obviously good for the charity but not backing down from a guy you had a fight with in the tunnel .....seems priceless for either side

he is only back on loan - he will be back with spurs next season unless they sell him - but Daniel Levy is a bit of a "shrewdie" - he paid Everton 2 million quid for Pienaar but insists that whoever wants him now that he has been shining the bench at spurs has to pay 6 million quid

Pienaar going back to Everton should be good for them. I think in the close season, Everton's biggest challenge is going to be keeping hold of Moyes, though. He has worked miracles, considering the circumstances he is under and one of the bigger teams may go in for him.

I've always had a soft spot for the toffees. I think given the budgetary constraints they have, David Moyes pulls off miracles and we've gotta be grateful to them for Arteta who, imho, is absolute class.

Cheers
