Shonver and I appear to be the only guys here on this thread who prefer lcd/led?

+1 makes then three. I think I did post my preferences earlier, but the reflective screen is a killer for me, would not even consider a plasma for that reason as the TV faces an open window. I have a Philips LED screen with all pops & whistles, 100Hz, and the picture is superb. I have not noticed any funny artifacts or motion blurring, but then maybe I enjoy watching content rather than looking for problems.

From my side, I've lived with a 40" LCD for two years and advised everyone that this was the better route. When it came time for me to get something bigger, I decided to take the plunge and get a plasma and I couldn't be happier. The biggest benefit going plasma for me was the better SD viewing - this really put my LCD to shame. The reflectivity was no issue for me as my room is pretty dark. But I can see how it can be an issue in a bright room. In terms of intensity, my current plasma doesn't have to stand back for the LCD it replaced.

rather than looking for problems

is that what you think we do?

no sir - everyones eyes are different and some of us just automatically are affected by things others are not - with LCD i automatically see motion blur whether i want to or not .... i dont have to look for it - its happening all the time ..... some of us are sensitive to it and others are not and the same goes for color banding

many people claim to see color banding with plasma - i cant see it - does that mean that im in some way better than someone else - and the answer to that has to be absolutely not - it just means that we have different thresholds of sensitivity to differing phenomena that occur
