Mathew I would suggest that prior to spending large amounts of money on a deck make sure that you want to go the vinyl route.Decent vinyl cleaning equipment and new albums are not cheap.I personally will not buy second hand vinyl anymore.I have never heard a Project T/T but if i was to embark on the vinyl route I would look out for a good 2 nd hand Rega 3 which are fairly cheap.Spares are reasonably easy to come by and the Rega has infinite upgrade possibilities. You are now getting even more confused as everone has their own idea of a good starter deck.
Jaco I think you missed a small part of the posts.I have now quoted my very first post for your information.I in my opinion am quite willing to take on any Linn as far as sound quality is concerned even with my Rega or MS and yes I have the T shirt for vinyl since I have being playing vinyl since 1967 albeit on a radiogram in those days.I have posted numerous posts about the cost to newcomers experimenting with vinyl and then deciding it is FAR more expensive than CD or any other digital format.I trust Hi-Phibian but would never buy a Linn.I still have vinyl albums from 1978 which are of great quality. As a new entrant into vinyl I would never purchase a high end deck but would purchase a deck that if I liked vinyl could be upgraded to infinite possibilities.

Sorry for sidetracking you Matthew! :)
We had a huge argument sometime ago  that started with someone asking about the Moonbeam. From what I hear its an excellent starter deck and APPARENTLY you'll have to spend ENDLESS money to better it. ;D

Placebo, I have sent you a PM regarding listening to your system.

As for my decision, I am confused all over again.... I feel like a woman who can't make up her mind... i.e any woman

Any shop selling electronic components, or possibly even hardware shops?
LF: Cheap but decent interconnects so I can try to hear the difference, or not.
