Must see series...
« on: December 09, 2011, 04:29:40 pm »
I pretty much stole a page out of Audiomuze's book. What series do you consider essential viewing?

Mine off the top of my head:

Band of Brothers
Cowboy Bebop (Yes, it's anime but it's really, really well done)
Battlestar Galactica
Firefly
The Sopranos
Dexter
The Pacific
The Practice
House

Anything else anyone?

Cheers

Fringe
The Mentalist
Castle
Hawaii 5-0
Warehouse 13
Doctor Who (and all the spin-offs including Torchwood)

i also enjoyed Lost and Heroes when they were viewing - but as we all know those have been concluded

It's not the size of the sub, it's where you place it.

Yes these are ancient ...
Agatha Christies' Poirot (David Suchet)
Highlander
Twin Peaks
Caution, whatever you read above, may, wonder of wonders, contain some level of jocularity.

^Have to agree. Battlestar Galactica is some of the best television I have ever seen. I need to see what the fuss about Game of Thrones is though.

*edit*
x2 on Hustle.

Cheers

most series which I find interesting to begin with, start to bore me after 5-10 episodes. while they play in different surroundings, the patterns are usually the same. examples for this are eureka, fringe, house, ncis, warehouse 13 and so on.

if once in a while I find a series I really enjoy, they stop it :( this happened with stargate universe and coupling for example.
also every now and then I watch reruns of older stuff like fawlty towers

For me, three only.

Prime Suspect - Helen Mirren, over seven series, gives a master class in acting.
The Sopranos.
The Wire.

Game of Thrones is excellent, which follows the books very closely.
Other favourites are Band of Brothers, Firefly, Fringe, How I met your mother,
