That is definitely a good job for a first build!

I always tell people that finishing takes longer than building, and I get some funny looks at times. The evidence is here before us  ;D

No problem for the xo parts. Let me know when you are ready.

Thank you, Mr Gore.

And first part of Piano finish took almost 3 days :)(PU takes about 5 hours in this PTA heat)

Built the finish with first 7 layers , 50/50 poly/turps with brush, and flat with 220 sandpaper sponge
and 3 last finish with a final polish from 300 up to 2000,and car rubbing compound and polish and oil very last
They are outdoor speakers (Patio- 3 hours sun on 1 side)that being the PU choice.

Sonus Faber clones for my first attempt, next set will be Klipsch clones(with PU Piano finish) for the Hi-fi room.

The last photo`s finish was done with a brush in the bathroom last night. (Very clean and no dust and wind)

Now for 2 hours of fine, fine sanding with good music, (and all my harem frollicking naked on my lawn-I am daydreaming ;D)
while I sand my new addiction.

Kiaat is a very nice wood, very hard, but easy to work with.

DO NOT BUY EBONY , R180-000,00  per cube, :o :P
I got a piece from a fellow woodworker ;).

Nice wood! It's going to look amazing - very much my flavour.
What is the internal volume? Just to get some idea of the scale in my head. Looks sealed not bass reflex/ported?

Cirr... did you groove the side panels on the inside to get them to "curve" around the carcass?
