Got the DVD&CD combo of her live at the Royal Albert Hall. Great talent and a great voice. The potty mouth....uhm ja. Goes to show you don't need class to be a class act. ;)

Btw, I hope her voice doesn't come out like Steve Tyler's after the vocal cord surgery (by his doctor!).
I used to have SUPER POWERS.
But my therapist took them away. :vsad:

How does it sound. I have a Pink BD but the mix is terrible where you can barely hear her voice. Adele is all about her voice so it will be a terrible let down if it dissappears in the mix.

The CD is acually well recorded, so I expect the BR will be just as good or even better, incl. probably higher resolution to boot.  For a change the CD version hasn't been butchered, and I can safely say that she sounds a hell of a lot better than she does on her two studio albums.

^^^ Fully agreed. The live show's recording is orders of magnitude better than the 21 Album. I can now actually sit and listen and enjoy the music for a change.

Where did you guys get your copy? I ordered mine from amazon.co.uk, and it shipped the day it was released. Still haven't received it though. (Where is the "chewing nails" icon?)

Agree on 21 being a horrible recording. As my sound system gets better, I can't actually tolerate it any more -- they've ruined her voice, it sounds harsh and nasal.

Same with Duffy's Rockferry...

For a great recording, try Eliza Doolittle's deut album.

Purchased the blu ray recently, and yes, it really is wonderful. Maybe it's her voice or my speakers but i love the room being filled with her voice.

^^^ could you tell ne whether the BR has a stereo soundtrack in addition to the DTS 5.1 - I looked ag the box in look & listen and it only indicated DTS 5.1. If it's got 2.0 lossless I'll grab it as well.

Audio options are DTS 5.1 and Stereo. Really great buy, her language is so distasteful though >:(

It's not the language, it's the accent. Some singers should not talk. Sing. Not talk. Ever.

C'mon now, Adele has a perfectly normal regional english accent, is very warm and funny with a great and irrepressible sense of humour....... she's also very self deprecating, as only the brits can be!  But yeah, whadda voice! Sings fit to break a heart like they used to decades ago!

Now Madonna the old dear..., saw her on the Golden Globes  and on the Graham Norton show, and  she's so full of herself and nobody seems to notice that she multi-tracks her voice when she sings because she just doesn't have a good singing voice...

.... and what did people ever like about...  fill in your choice....  ;D

What was it also with that overdone backbeat on the CD?! ???
