That guy almost got me ,I was looking for a nad pre amp so he called me from the uk ,blackpool he said offering a new one in. Box ,I almost sent the money until I asked for pictures ,he sent a few ,so I decided to go on google and found the same pics posted there .then I new something was up ,so I sent him a mail asking if those were the actual pics of unit and he replied why so many questions ,I then asked him to meet my budy in the uk witch he refused to do ,so I googled his name and it came up on a Canadian forum that he was a con so then I new ,I would love to ring his neck . He is very convincing ,I'm sure a lot of people have been caught.

Watch out for a guy named Gary. His cell no. is 079 094 5217, and e-mail gsmall@live.co.za. He wanted to buy my Vincent amp & assured me he would do an EFT. Well, the EFT turned out to be a cheque deposit which he maintained was bank guaranteed. I then told him that he would have to wait 10 working days for the cheque to clear. Haven't heard from him since, & the cheque bounced a day later - a stolen cheque. Apparently he has tried this stunt a few times.

No, no. I have though of a way to get these b@astards. When you advertise something on Gumtree or Junkmail the first way to see that there is something dodgy is to know how these b@astards talk.

If you get a SMS stating "Hie, is item on offer" you know its a piece of trash trying to scam you. You then promtly reply that yes, you can post the item to him. You make up a nice package of useless contents and lace the inside with Anthrax and sent it off to him. When he recieves the package a big nasty surprize awaits him...LOL

Guys, I know this might be insensitive but I feel that the world would be a better place without these pieces of trash trying to scam every Tom, **** and Harry.

I once agreed to one of these Gumtree deals where I had to deliver a TV to a guy in Rosebank. Took 3 of my cop-buddy's with me and BAM!!! Caught the piece of trash! But they work in syndicates and will always be out there in great numbers.

Please guys, be cautious in dealing with people you don't know

So our foreign guy contacted me for the AE2's... he investigated it on Google and want to EFT immediately. I suggested a cash handover at Linden police station..... no answer back.....
Now I wonder, who knows some cops that we can arrest these scammers ?

Why is it when I involve the SAPS, meeting at the station for the transaction the buyers immediately disappear ? Now a Paul also contacted me.... When I suggested our meeting he is gone.... Both wanted to EFT immediately.... Mmmm

I put an advert in the Junkmail for cash and phone calls only! Not one response, normally my inbox is out of control. Out of my experience with the classifieds is the guys who call or those who call after a week are normally genuine buyers. but do proceed with caution.

I never answer SMS or email with the classifieds that I put out.

These guys grate me bad, as I'm trying to make an honest living and they just cause mistrust in the eyes of the buyers. I'm pretty sure that I lose loads of sales due to mistrust.

Ok , this guy sends me a sms for my B&W's. "let me know about the speakers" he asks. I reply " the speakers are still available". I don,t hear from him for the rest of the evening . The next morning he asks for my bank details. I sms bank details from of an account that i don,t really use .  i phoned him later to find out if he received the details, no answer ,after the second try he answers. He says he is still making arrangements to do the payment. yesterday at 5 PM i get a notification from Nedbank,saying that he has deposited the money to my absa account. He phones after 15 min. an i deliberately don't answer. Since yesterday he still has not called to find out if i have received the notification or the money, nor has he forward his address to me.He did not even ask the condition of the speakers,or where i am from. He uses the name Craig , his cell no. 0763624408

have you checked in your account if that amount reflects there?
