Rudi Valve pre build, for fun
« on: November 30, 2011, 03:06:45 pm »
I took up dewald on his offer of a set of valve pre PCBs and have started assembling. I am still short a few components (the transformer, some ~25V zeners, some transistors, caps and resistors which Yebo didn't have in stock) but I've soldered most of the parts together. I've not soldered for a while, but I enjoyed this bit of soldering yesterday evening.

Nice one Martin.
I see you have the MKS caps and not the MKP10 that I love so much.
Never argue with an idiot. The people watching might not know the difference.

Perhaps good that i don't make a smoke offering of esoteric caps just yet. Still deciding between ECC81/82/83 but tending towards the 12AU7.
