After spending endless hours on updating firmware I could never get the POS TPlink router to work. Dolby on the forum told me to try this http://www.scoopdistribution.co.za/product_info.php?cPath=120&products_id=1242
Unfortunately the R299 is dealers price ex vat, so I ended up paying almost R500.

My first impression of the router was that it came out of the same cheap China made factory as the TPlink, at this price you can not really expect anything more. Even the on-board software is almost identical.  But that is where the similarities end.

When I researched the Plant router I could not find 3g modem compatibility list, I thinks it is because this thing supports every single 3g stick ever made. Even my Vodaphone ZTE K3772-Z.

So far I rate the Planet router x1000 better than the TPlink and for basically the same price.

I drove through to Scoop in Midrand, just around the corner from my office.

I got everything in my house connect without running a single UTP cable. I placed the 3G router in the second storey study, and two wireless routers set to AP mode covering the rest of the  house.

Does the Planet router also work with ADSL?
