And don`t use the fence as it is now,put a piece of hardwood there,if you don`t have, you know where I live.
It is never square to the table, with those 4 holes you can put a woodfence and adjust the squareness with kitchen alu foil.Lasts forever.
You can also build a sliding fence, just 2 Mdf boards both sides of the blade with a long fence 90deg to the blade
But your first jig must be a 45deg cutting slidingtable,
basicly a big Mdf board that run in the right tablegroove with adj 40-50 deg fence 600L x 100H x 50W mm.

Please Pm or phone me.

Thanx for the info cirr.i will definitely do the hardwood upgrade on the fence, it really does not work well as it is now.

as for the jig, i saw yours, i will definitely do that as well.
just need a new pulley for the motor, the one i have is bent badly.

if you listen long enough , even guy's have something to say.

Aaah, awfully kind of you sir!
I spoke with Attie just now - turns out hasn't seen you reply at all so let's give him a chance if you don't mind? I wouldn't want to pull the carpet under his feet  ;)

Will do, dankie Attie! And good morning...  ;D

@Heinrich: Yes, once I saw the pics on my monitor at home I realised that it's not Oak. Looked familiar, but I just couldn't pin-point it. Thanks. That wood, with all those pigment shifts, looks amazing!
