i keep going back to this marvelous album....its right up there with my other favourites like Waterboys "This is the Sea",Prince "Sign of the Times",Prefab Sprout "From Langley Park to Memphis"(The first present that Ursh bought me on cd 20+years ago)....these discs sound as good today as they did all those years ago!

The second CD I played on the NAD 5220 / 310 combo I just got from Tom was Raintown. :)

This came out in 1987, round about the time I got drafted to do my 2 years in the army. I had it and Talk Talk's "Colour Of Spring" on a TDK D90 cassette that I brought back with me after my first pass in October of that year.

Brings back memories better than a photograph, man...

My feelings exactly Dallas...I also have a double cd of b-sides and projects they did...its wonderful!

The lead singer has a great voice, it's a pity they ran out of steam.

I saw them live in Dubai in 2002 or so... jeez, what an awesome concert. Apparently they go on a tour every few years. Their recordings are pretty 'radio friendly' - but live they really rock!

....i will join you LAV....but i'm giving the second album a spin,"When the world knows your name"....its not Raintown but its really good all the same...this band tells such a good story with every track.....after that it will be The Beautiful South
....i have a double disc greatest hits and B sides that is also killer good....enjoy your week-end gents!
