Avsa Classifieds and certain other links

Website is fast enough as far as I am concerned.Suggestion to contact your websites host's e mail is fine by me.I just do not think he will like the tone of the e mail.I have come to the conclusion that you need more visits to your Therapist.Perhaps twice a day.

It appears that there are some problems there. The link to the demo stock section is not working and the classiffied section has not been updated since 30 September.

They are working BUT something is wrong.  Note that there is a second classifieds link at the bottom of the page. That, is significantly quicker to load than the one on the top of the page, this despite them going to the exact same URL. Are you sure you're paying these people enough ? This is just comical at times.

They are working BUT something is wrong.  Note that there is a second classifieds link at the bottom of the page. I can get the one at the bottom of the page to work, but not the classifieds and Demo ones at the top. Dunno why they work for placebo?  

Ah, seems to be a Firefox issue. Site works fine with IE, but Firefox doesn't read those top buttons. Well, mine doesn't, at least. Will try from home, later.

I also use firefox(7) and the difference is quite big. I've just tried IE8 and both top and bottom links seem to load at the same speed. So, I'm not so sure about my earlier comment. Maybe it's just the database that isn't fast. Just curious on the decision to change from a nice URL to one with spaces(me no likey much)?

The other problem is not one of the ads currently has a location. You therefore have to contact the seller only to find out he stays 1400km away from where you stay.You therefore cannot check condition of goods being sold.I am well aware that I will not be purchasing any item for about 12 months for personal reasons but other parties could find location a critical factor.My honest opinion.

Ruzena deals with the classifieds, so she'd be better positioned to answer than I am, but from what I understand, there's some problem that prevents her from being able to access and process the classifieds, hence the situation where nothing new is going up.

That's a good point. Am scared to ask the host to add it in case they break something else, but I'll put that forward - thanks.

Another point Andrew is it wise to show e-mail addresses in red for anyone to collect and use perhaps to spam (especially G Mail) addresses.I would rather make sure addresses are hidden.More constructive observations.Now to find where else my young friend has posted.But first I must feed my 2 Lions they are looking at me.

Hmm, I understand what you're saying, but how would they be hidden, but still accessible to potential buyers? I'm not a website fundi, so it's an honest query, the answers to which I can forward to the bloke doing our website. Will you PM me? Am going to lock this topic and open up one main thread for website issues, to collect everything in one place.
