Same here, 90% in my art class were girls back in school. They weren't necessarily the best. ;)

Regarding music, the ratio was about the same. The guys, well naturally they started bands somewhere. I honestly don't know what happened with those girls, but I can tell you they weren't the prettiest of girls either. ;)

It's just always so amusing to me that women can go on about men and say stuff like; "boys and their toys or how can you watch a bunch of guys running after a ball, or spend hours on this or that".
Meanwhile, they occupy themselves with inane stuff like clothes, make-up, shoes, celeb gossip, weight loss diets etc.
They can spend hours in a shopping center looking for clothing only to break down their self esteem coz "all the clothing make em look fat". But they don't understand men practicing hobbies, be it fishing, surfing, drinking, golf, building model planes, etc etc, that is actually being constructive and helps one grow as a person.
:D :D :D

Female hobbies : http://www.thefemininewoman.com/2010/04/27hobbies-for-women/
Pole Dancing
Lap Dancing/Striptease
Belly-Dancing
wtf
Upgrading is just as certain as death and taxes.

That is such a stereotypical attitude. I know other guys here that will disagree you as well.

My wife understands my interests. How is sewing / painting / making dolls / different from woodworking / mechanics / stamp collecting?

There is a reason why my wife is my wife and not another of my girlfriends.

Women have their own hobbies too and we are wired differently!

I absolutely agree with you Ross. I think those who disagree are probably hen-pecked and have to ask permission for everything they want to do ;D

Guys, there is a reason why in general guys' pants are bigger than women's - it makes it easier for her to get into yours and get you by the short and curlies than what it is for you to get into her's(unless you can get them off, but that is where she's got you ;D)

I'm not sure if talking is a hobby, but if it is, then all women have a hobby. ;D
Yessss! Gosssssippiing, i had missed about that one. Did you see what dress/soes/handbag, etc, was having. Men do not have time about that we will then discuss less personal matters, i.e. gadgets, events, etc.

Same height as the features you were admiring or as the person with the features? ;)

I think it's more to do with the music than the gear.  Most women I know are casual listeners - they'll typically listen to whatever's currently mainstream pop, they'll have a few favourite artists, they'll own a few CDs and occasionally buy more, but their appreciation stops way short of that of most men.  How many women do you know whose CD/vinyl or digital collection approaches anywhere near that of the men you know...?

It's a pity really, because the only time I can listen without feeling like I'm stealing time from my wife and son is in the evening after they've gone to sleep.
