LF: standmount speakers

A friend of mine is looking for a set of standmounters in the region of R4500 to be used with a NAD stereo system. Any suggestions or offers would be greatly appreciated.

Try Monitor Audio RX1s or RX2s.  I do the RX2's, brand new for a measly R5400 ;D.  Some Quad 11Ls were also going on the forum recently - try AD (hope you don't mind AD).  BX2s are also impressive.  I think there's a set in the classifieds.  I can get that set on gumtree for R2300.  How about AD's Monitor Audio S6s, a great price at R3900.

The b@w 685s go very well with nad they go for around 4900 a pair.

nothing wrong with the suggestions so far but if i was in his position i may be tempted by the following thread

even though its not the new GX range these are speakers worth twice the amount being asked - and may just be worth the extra expense cos they raise the system to another level
