Festive season is upon us again
« on: December 05, 2007, 05:11:42 pm »
With the arrival of the festive season (silly for some  ;D) and some of us lucky enough to be going on a break of sorts, I feel now is the time to post this before I forget  :D :D :D (nothing to do with the 18 year old in my cupboard)

Firstly, this has been a great year for the forum, we are growing steadily and plans are starting to fall in place and I know Pavel has a few more up his sleeve which will be revealed in due course.

On that note I want to thank Pavel again for the time and effort and expense he puts into this forum. I know how busy his schedule is LOL and I'm sure I speak on behalf of all of us regulars and newbies when I say we appreciate all you've done (along with putting up with my spamming you mail  :D )

Secondly I would like to thank all the guys at AVSA, Andrew, Deon, Joel (not deliberately leaving anyone out  :D) for joining with us and giving us the opportunity to host a forum for you, it has been a revelation to get inside your minds LOOOOL. We all hope that this will continue to grow and that our future plans will see us go from strength to strength as the only REAL AV authority on SA ;D. Thanks guys, I know the members and your readers appreciate your participation.

And of course thanks to alllllll you members, it has been an entertaining year to say the least with plenty of debate, bickering, laughing, joking etc etc and has made for my daily dose of entertainment that NO channel on DSTV can match  ;D ;D

And keep an eye out for more things to start in 2008, will keep you posted

I hope you all have great holidays and festive season (mine starts next tuesday) and for those of you working right through  ;D I'll have a drink for you too  :D :D

Grrrrr... I had mine cut short due to work commitments. I'll still have a drink though ;D I figured I'd be there in body, but not in mind ;D ;D

Anyway, thanks to the management for putting up with us (ok, me) as well. The interesting/funny/casual chats here is quite an addictive escape from W.O.R.K. and we (ok, me again) can't wait for the cool surprises that you have in stall for us.

Geez, Skinny, you're bringing a tear to me eyes, Aye, you are...

Nice to see the forum has grown like this and that our Moderators can take moderation even unto themselves when necessary... ;D

Here's wishing one and all a great Christmas and to those of us who will still be here, why, we'll keep the fort running, of course  :D

Ah yes it's that time of the year when we can sit back and relax and enjoy the End  of Year (very PC that) Spirit(s) hic.

At least it would be if there wasnt a quiet voice (called Andrew) demanding my next review.

I've used up all the obvious excuses as to why its late, so am requesting a list of excuses that I can use from forumites.

It's been great posting on the forum and chatting to all of you.

Have a great break and enjoy.
Cheers

Joel

Hi all!

Thank you for a great year. Hope what you have gained outnumbered that, that you have lost.
May 2008 be filled with positive challenges!

Be safe this festive season.

A blessed Christmas to all the AV Forums members and their kin.

Dewald

PS - Thank you to all that keeps this site up and running - you know who you are...

After today I am on leave till 11 January 2008 and as I deliberately dont have a PC at home, I will only speak to you guys again on 14 January 2008.

May the festive season only bring you joy and happiness. Leave the sadness and frustrations behind and face the New Year with renewed passion and detimination.

Cheers

Abe
